Opportunities

Signature Programs

RSVP offers “Signature Programs” to address pressing community needs like osteoporosis and child literacy issues though direct service projects designed, launched and managed directly by RSVP.  What these programs have in common is that they utilize volunteers as the key provider of the service.  For more details about these programs please click on the Signature Programs tab.

Driving/Transportation

Do you enjoy driving? Would you like to help someone who can’t drive make it to essential appointments? Volunteer with a local transportation agency to drive seniors to essential needs appointments.  Volunteer schedule is flexible.  Or join up with your local Meals on Wheels program and deliver a warm meal to a homebound senior.  Shifts are usually the same day a week and the same route.

Education/Mentoring Children

Volunteer during the school year in a variety of roles.  There are many different mentoring programs to meet your needs and schedule.  Try out one of our signature programs: RSVP Rutland County Reads & RSVP After School Buddies.

Health & Wellness

Do you enjoy health and wellness activities? Would you like to lead a group of older adults during a weekly exercise class?   We help to train, get equipment, and find space for new classes to promote health and wellness for older adults.

AARP Tax Assistance

Help low-income residents complete their taxes during tax season.  Or volunteer as a tax scheduler.

Other Non-Profit Support

RSVP mobilizes the caring power of volunteers to respond to our local agencies most pressing needs.  Volunteer at community based organizations throughout Rutland and Addison Counties.  We partner with libraries, museums, senior meal sites, and other social service organizations.
